Room data sheets (or RDS) are used to capture in a systematic manner the details and requirements for each room on the project. They are usually created by the client during the briefing (also known as architectural programming in the US) phase of the design process, however, they may also be revised during the design process to reflect evolving requirements or to give a more complete and clearer picture for those responsible for executing the https://searchstreams.info/data-stream-management-system project.
The Room Data Sheets SmartTool is an efficient and accurate sheet view and schedule building tool that allows you to create room (or space) data sheets in the Revit project. The tool is able to create 3D, plans elevations and views of schedules for spaces or rooms that are named parametrically and numbers on new sheets.
By default the tool will use the Room Numbering template and the Sheet Format determined by the Revit project however, a new sheet name and style can be chosen from the Tool Options tab. Click ‘Load configuration …” on the toolbar to replace current settings with previously saved configurations. This reduces the amount needed for manual rework for different rooms and types.
The tab ‘Naming’ allows the user to select whether the selected room/space is included in the sheet’s Name text box which is located on the left of the screen. The ‘View Title: option specifies the text that appears in the title bar for each view. ‘View Increment’ specifies the number of increments that exist between each view on the sheet. The ‘Spacing:’ option can be turned on to regulate the space between each view on the sheet and’Exclude View Titles in estimating the size of Views on Sheets:’ will stop titles from being included when determining the number of views that can be accommodated on a page.
